Russia threatens military response to US missiles Tue Aug 26, 2:53 PM ET

MOSCOW - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is warning his country may respond to a U.S. missile shield in Europe through military means.

Medvedev says that the deployment of an anti-missile system close to Russian borders "will of course create additional tensions."

"We will have to react somehow, to react, of course, in a military way," Medvedev was quoted as saying Tuesday by the RIA-Novosti news agency.

Russian officials have already warned of a military response to the U.S. plans, but the statement by the Russian leader was likely to further aggravate already tense relations with the West. The comments come after Medvedev recognized two Georgian regions as independent nations, prompting criticism from the U.S. and Europe.

UHHH I don't even want to read something like this, I don't want to live through another World war, I don't believe in organized religion, but I believe in God and I just don't know what the hell to believe when I hear all these nutjobs around me talk about the fucking rapture, and end of times. This is also scary to me, because my dad tells me that the Bible talks about "the great bear", which is probably Russia, and other countries like Turkey, the place civilization suppossedly originated from, but nothing resembles America. We are still a very young country, and with our stupid military leaders we won't survive this time around with Russia, and especially Russia and Iran put together. Sounds like the beginning of a nuclear halocaust to me.

Russia is slowly but surely turning itself into a communism power again.

There were a couple of natural gas reserve company there had it's owners fined for "tax evasion" effectly bankrupting the company and it's assets taken to "pay" the fine.

This is a type of renationalising a company like what they did in Soviet to landowners and company owners to gain power.

It is quite clear that Russia is going to use a war to bolster its economy a 3rd world war is imminent in my opinion

It be a different type of war I should say - it be more of a guerilla war unlike the typical soldier in uniform playing cat and mouse on a clear and defined war map.

Course it will, if Russia sends a nuke at us we send a nuke at Russia then other countries send nukes at either Russia or America then everyone allied to America will launch nukes on everyone allied to Russia and the whole world will be destroyed.
