it's the small icon that's about 16x16 pixels big that get's displayed next to the web address
example: google.com's favicon is a blue "g"
all my bookmarks have them, and this site is out of place because it's blank and i have ocd and it pisses me off
also i hate half assed images, if your gonna make one make it look professional otherwise i have to delete the bookmark and can't go to this site anymore because my ocd will tell me not to
