Topic: Suggestive ideas for IIN

I was thinking was it possible to set something to distribute the stories straight to the moderaters and they can check them and put them on the site. Udi you have to lighten the load on yourself and this will keep the site more fluid. You know by now who you can trust I do think all mods should have the ability to ban people

Already I see someone posting a link to a story in almost every comment this is the shit we want to stop and any action taken should be done quickly to let them know they cant get away with ruining the site

I agree that the moderators should not have the right to ban people, but they could suggest it. Udi should have the final say though.

I understand what you're saying, but what's wrong with posting links to other stories? Each post has a link and it's there so that people can refer to it. I don't understand how that is ruining the site. I thought this forum is suppose to be more relaxed and free-wheeling. Is that not true?

We were talking about the main site, not this new forum.

As for posting a link to another story in a comment, there is nothing wrong with that at all in general. However in the case Cabinet70 was referring to, the person was repeatedly posting links to the same story on many different other stories where it was not at all relevant.

Was this person posting these links on the main site or the forum? Also, is it okay to post links on the main site if they are relevant to the story or to another comment in the story? And could you add the ability to send private messages to other members on the main site? Thanks!

the links were posted on main site. As Udi said a relevant link is fine but not posting repeatively in every story this is a type of spamming and if we dont want the site to degenerate into what it was before. We lost so many good and interesting members which we may never get back again

I understand where your coming from but neither you nor me are completely innocent when it comes to some of are contributions to the website before it shut down.
