Not sure if I like the new story moderation on the main site. Like the fact stories are staggered so that ample comments are made, however, I do not like the fact that some stories are being removed/censored/not uploaded when they are on topic and are justifiably asking if 'x' is normal and are contributing to the site in a meaningful way. See Chuckle's kitchen stories for example.

Thanks,

Chuckle

Sticking "normal?" at the end of a long off-topic story doesn't necessarily make it on topic. Our moderators have to use their best judgment when making these decisions. Sometimes they're tough ones, but we do our best.

This is exactly why the new forum here was created. To provide a place to have those other discussions. Our hope is that between the main site and this forum, everyone will find a place to do everything they'd like to do.

Could our moderators make comments (in the comment box of each story) giving their reasons why stories are rejected? This will give authors and readers a better idea of how to write stories that are more on topic and appropriate. We all want our stories to be posted. Feedback from the moderators explaining their reasons why stories are not posted will allow authors to make challenges. What if a moderator doesn't have a good enough reason to reject a story but rejects it anyway? I think being able to make challenges to the moderators decisions to reject a story is more democratic and fair? It will prevent some moderators from rejecting people's stories just because they don't like the authors (or some other reason that has nothing to do with the story like their political views) instead of the stories themselves? Thanks!

I agree that sticking 'normal?' at the end of a story does not make it on topic, however, your moderators appear to be censoring the users contributions. It is futile to the censor the internet and IIN. Besides safer mode is there for a reason, if users didn't want to read 'mature' (and I use the term extremely loosely) then they don't have to. Personally I don't see how my gf's sadism fetish requires censorship when I wrote the story in a polite and informative way. Stories which contain illegal activities are a different matter entirely of course, and although I lack the knowledge of internet law, it is my understanding that there is a certain level of freedom in which users can post what they want with the only compromise being the need to omit sensitive information (names, places, dates). All stories containing sensitive information should be removed yet most users have the common sense and consideration to not post names, places, dates etc.

I would like to see changes made to the main site to reflect my views, however, I am more than willing to post my censored stories on the forum.

I also find it amusing how a story about my gf is censored, yet stories of incest and beastility are not. Your moderators have more twisted morals than some IIN users. How appropiate.

Yeah I agree when I look at the board and see the stupid stories being posted by youngsters it makes me wonder if the "moderators" have a fucking screw loose. I wish we just had our chat room back it was a lot more fun!

All new submissions are now being moderated as they're posted. It's going to take us some time to sift through the 20,000 old posts and clean things up.
